Who we are

Texel is a data analytics and business intelligence company. We apply artificial intelligence and rigorous analysis of external data, drawn from sources including third-party audit reports, public records, and open-source research, to uncover actionable intelligence on leaking revenue and funds.

That intelligence does two things for our clients: it identifies where revenue is currently leaking, so it can be stopped, and it supports the recovery of funds that have already been lost. We built our methodology around external data specifically so that our clients never need to grant us access to internal systems, records, or personnel to benefit from our findings.

Founded in Dallas, Texas in 2002, Texel today operates from Dallas, with an operational office in Nairobi, Kenya supporting our work across Africa and beyond. Together, our two offices serve governments, NGOs, corporations, and SMEs across four continents. Twenty-four years of working exclusively with external data has shaped a methodology built around a simple principle: the most reliable insights come from outside an organization looking in, not from the inside looking out.

Our team combines data scientists, forensic analysts, and former regulators, applying predictive modeling through our proprietary LEAKTRACER™ AI and reconstructing audit trails with FUNDFORENSICS, our two core tools for turning patterns invisible from inside a single organization into evidence that holds up under scrutiny.
